Dr. Marwan Izzeldin is a senior Lecturer the Department of Economics at Lancaster University where he is also the Director of Gulf One Lancaster Centre for Economic Research. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Cass Business School (London City University) and an MA in Economics from University College Dublin. His research interests are in the area High Frequency data, with focus on volatility modelling and forecasting. Banking /Islamic Banking, with focus on productivity analysis, default risk, efficiency and competition. Re-sampling methods with focus on the application of Bootstrap techniques to long memory tests and high frequency data non parametric estimators. Dr Izzeldin is also actively engaged in several research programmes in the Middle East and Africa.
