Bianca De Stavola (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine)
Bianca De Stavola is Professor of Biostatistics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (University of London) where she holds the position of Director of the LSHTM Centre for Statistical Methodology. She trained in Padua (Italy), the London School of Economics and Imperial College (London), where she gained a PhD in Statistics. Bianca’s research focuses on the understanding, development and implementation of statistical methods for long-term longitudinal studies with specific applications to the epidemiology of chronic diseases. Bianca is also a Non-executive Director of Timberlake Consultants.

Authored titles
Bianca De Stavola and Michael Hills recently co-authored the Timberlake Press title Basic Stata (2014). The book provides a short but comprehensive introduction to the statistical software in Stata and biostatistic applications.
